Your house, containing everything you own, catches fire; after saving your loved ones and pets, you have time to safely make a final dash to save any one item. What would it be?
I would take my journals. It would be nice to have even them digitized and backed up, but that will come in due time, and then I can just worry about saving my backed up media (see Security Tip: Backups on my blog.)
Pictures and journal probably. no wait, the box that has all of my writing in it. That would be absolutely tragic to lose. and since my journals are right next to it, I could grab both.
I would really want a sandwich, in case I got hungry later. :) No, I think I would have to go along with pictures and journals. It would be so sad not to have them.

Well, since I'm not saving any pets, that means I have time to save 2 items: (1) Mary Karlee's scrap book collection, (2) our wedding album.
